City of Wellston NEW Operating Hours

Beginning the week of Monday, February 6, 2023, the City will move forward with new operating hours. The City Building, excluding the Wellston Police Department, will be open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In addition, the building will no longer close for lunch. We hope these extended daily hours will enable residents to visit the City Building before or after work.

If your garbage pickup day is currently on

Monday, it will remain the same.

Tuesday, it will now be picked up on Monday.

Wednesday, it will remain the same.

Thursday, it will remain the same.

Friday, it will now be picked up on Tuesday.

Weekly Garbage Schedule

Just a few reminders:

  1. Garbage needs taken out the night before to ensure pickup.
  2. Large items will need to be scheduled for pickup by calling the City Clerk’s Office at 740-384-2040.
  3. For after-hour water, sewer, or street issues, please call WPD’s non-emergency line at 740-384-2171.
