Home Relief Grants
Jackson-Vinton Community Action, Inc. is offering assistance through the Home Relief Programs. If you have been impacted by COVID by a loss of job, reduced hours, loss of wages, diagnosed with COVID, under quarantine, or have experienced any undue hardship related to COVID, you may be eligible.
The Home Relief Grants are available to help those who have been impacted by COVID, including the following: rent, mortgage, utilities, water, trash, and/or internet.
Four grants are available with different income guidelines. Call to see if you qualify– call (740)384-3722 Ext. 27 for Tonya or Ext. 25 for Tammy to schedule an appointment.
Emergency Healthcare Assistance
If you are uninsured or under-insured, a resident of Jackson or Vinton County, and have a household income of less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Guildelines, you may qualify for up to $400 in Emergency Healthcare Assistance. Assistance includes: help with non-narcotic prescription medications, dental services, eye exams and/or glasses, seeing a medical specialist, getting an x-ray, and blood work/labs.
