The Service Director is the head of the Department of Public Service and Safety and is appointed by the Mayor. The Service Director is the supervising authority over the Police and Fire Departments.
My office is also responsible for the repair and maintenance of city streets, water mains, pumps, pipes, storm drains, and culverts.
I oversee the supervisors and employees who operate and maintain our city water distribution system, the storm sewer system, our sewage (wastewater) plant, and all public buildings, public places, vehicles, equipment, and physical property belonging to the city.
